On 3 and 4 December 2024, the second iAMP-Hydro Progress Meeting was held on the island of Cyprus, where project partner Suite5 has its headquarters and thus could perfectly organise the meeting. On the two days, progresses of all work packages were presented, and it was impressive to see what was achieved.
Some of the highlights were the following:
- TCD showed the development of cavitation prediction indicators in turbines using vibration and acoustic data in the lab, and results on the development of cavitation damage over time. This work will feed into the collection and analysis of data at our pilot sites in 2025
- NORCE presented the newly developed sensor which helps identifying supersaturation of downstream water and which shall in future help operators to run the HPP in a more fish friendly way. These new sensors will be installed in the pilot site in the new year.
- CARTIF and POLITEHNICA Bucharest showed the results of the flow forecasting models which can be compared from now on with reality (good luck!)
- Suite5 used the meeting to give first insights how the iAMP, the intelligent Asset Management Platform is supposed to look and function in the future as a user interface.
The gathering of the experts was also used to hold the second iAMP-Hydro Co-Development Workshop.
