On 25 October 2025, iAMP-Hydro was lucky to have been a part of the famous HYDRO Tours which are organised after the conference days and attract international visitors coming from different hydropower stakeholder groups.
At Sfikia HPP, Israel Ohiemi (TCD, Ireland) gave a presentation about iAMP-Hydro and the project colleagues Prof. Bogdan Popa (POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania) and Bhaskar Paudel (TCD, Ireland) discussed the project with more than 50 HYDRO Tour participants, who were interested in the outcomes, because solutions like the iAMP-Hydro tools are needed in many hydropower plants around the world.
After the introduction, the HYDRO Tour participants were brought to Asomata HPP and could learn from first hand where the iAMP-Hydro experts have put which sensors, and what could already be learnt from them.
This exchange was very valuable for the project colleagues. The iAMP-Hydro consortium is very thankful to PPC, the largest power supplier in Greece, for enabling the action learning exercise at their hydropower stations (Sfikia and Asomata), and of coourse to the HYDRO organisers from Aqua-Media International.
